Beyonce didn't want to wait until she lost her baby weight to get back out there and perform.
Bey recently talked to Oprah Winfrey in an interview that will air this Sunday on OWN. E! News posted a couple of video clips and, in one, Oprah notes that baby Blue Ivy didn't take away Beyonce's passion for singing.
Beyonce: "I did a show three months after I gave birth, which was really crazy. I had clearly never given birth [before] and didn't know that I would gain 60 pounds."
Oprah: "Is that what you gained?"
Beyonce: "Yeah, 57 pounds. But I really wanted to know [if I still wanted to perform] and I feel so fortunate to do my job. I love my job. I love singing. I love the way it feels."
She also gushed about her husband, Jay-Z. "I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man." Their relationship "just gives me such a foundation."
Bey's full interview will air this February 17 at 8 p.m. on Oprah's Next Chapter.
