Beyonce's pregnancy has been headline fodder ever since the music mogul revealed her baby bump in dramatic fashion at the 2011 VMAs, but the singer isn't letting all the speculation about her baby bump get her down. In a new interview with Katie Couric for 20/20, she dismissed the rumors that have surrounded her growing belly.
"There are certain things that are so far [out], it doesn't even affect me," Bey told Katie. "I'm cool. It doesn't bother me."
Her family, though, is a little more protective. "My mom is like, 'Nobody's talkin' about my grandbaby! My grandbaby's not even here yet!" Beyonce laughed. "I was like, 'Calm down, Mom! It's okay!"
Ironically, Beyonce also says that despite reports, she hasn't experienced any of the weird food cravings that normally accompany pregnancy. "I read that I like ketchup on everything — not true!" she said. "I was on a plane, and the flight attendant came and was, like, 'I have your hot sauce and pickles and bananas.' I'm like, 'That is disgusting! What are you doing?' And he's like, 'I read it on the Internet.'"
Okay, Bey, so we can't believe everything we read — including the reports that Kelly Rowland accidentally revealed the baby's as-yet-unknown gender as female. Beyonce says that all she cares about is that the baby is healthy. "I'm just like everyone else!" she said.
Given that the baby will probably be swaggerific in leather diapers and win a Grammy by the age of 4, we're not totally convinced of that — but it does look like Queen B and Jay-Z are well-prepared for parenthood!
