The pop superstar has been invited to perform at a carnival in England, but the carnival rescinded the offer after learning she wanted a whopping $75,980 to perform, according to the Telegraph.
The Maldon Carnival Association had hoped that a big-name performer would reinvigorate their annual summer event in Essex. The carnival first begain in the small town in 1905.
The carnival's organizers invited a slew of A-listers this year, including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Taylor Swift, but Beyonce and her team were the only ones to respond.
“There is a possibility Beyoncé will be available and hopefully can attend your 'carnival' event on August 3," Bey's team wrote.
However, after a meeting with a member of Beyonce's team, it became clear that the carnival wouldn't be able to pay the fee or attract the large number of people Beyonce usually performs in front of.
Scheduled activities at the carnival include such quaint offerings as "spot the stranger" (whatever that is), bingo, and a baby competition — so maybe they were a bit out of their league in thinking they could land Beyonce.
