With a star-studded gathering in Newark, New Jersey today to honor the life and legacy of Whitney Houston, who died a week ago today at the age of 48, one celeb guest who was sure to be in attendance was Whitney's ex-husband, Bobby Brown — despite reports that Whitney's family were none too pleased abut his attending. But upon his arrival at New Hope Baptist Church this morning, Bobby entered the church, then left a few minutes later. Allegedly, Bobby brought an entourage of nine guests — and he was only allowed +2.
TMZ claims that Bobby was upset when he was told that they wouldn't be able to accommodate his entire party, and although Rev. Al Sharpton tweeted that he tried to calm Bobby down, he ended up leaving the church with his entourage.
For his part, Bobby's publicist refuted that claim, saying that Bobby and his son had to leave the service early in order to arrive at his New Edition concert tonight in time.
