With Season 5 of Breaking Bad on pause until next year, all we can do is speculate about how the show’s final eight episodes will play out.

Wetpaint Entertainment chatted with Aaron at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles TV Tea, and he teased us with his thoughts on the end of the series.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Does anyone make it out of this show alive? What is your prediction for when it is all said and done?
Aaron Paul: You know, I have no idea. It’s not going to be a fairy-tale ending — I can tell you that.

Oh, you mean they’re not going to wrap everything up in a pretty little bow?
I don’t think so! I don’t know. Maybe?

Is it bittersweet going into these last eight episodes?
Yeah, it’s super-sad. I’m happy that we’re able to complete the story and not cut it short. But yeah, it’s going to be an emotional farewell, for sure.

The second half of Breaking Bad’s fifth season will premiere next summer.
