The Game of Thrones cast and crew aren't exactly forthcoming with the spoilers, so even the most devoted book fans are left wondering what precisely will happen during the Season 2 finale (Season 2, Episode 10: "Valar Morghulis") airing this Sunday.
Fortunately, we do have the preview (which you can watch here) to help us out. This is what we can glean from the promo about what goes down when battle breaks out.
Tywin's back, baby: It looks like Tywin isn't going anywhere after his triumph in Episode 9: "Blackwater." The preview opens with Joffrey proclaiming his grandad the savior of the city while Tywin literally rides into the throne room on a horse like the baller he is.
Ros is afraid: Ros is afraid of someone, but is assured that while this mysterious "he" is dangerous, "everyone has their weaknesses." Sounds like she's being asked to sleep with someone. But who? Honestly, it could be just about anyone in King's Landing.
Littlefinger gives Sansa a warning: If you thought Sansa was going to take the Hound up on his offer of escape, it looks like you're wrong. In the preview she's still in King's Landing, receiving advice from Littlefinger. Everyone around her is a better liar than she is, he warns.
Jaime and Brienne: It looks there is more road trip fun to come between Westeros' most unlikely traveling companions. We see Jaime and Brienne looking at two dead bodies hanging from a tree. "It must make you proud to serve the Starks," he mocks (maybe those bodies are the victims of Stark bannermen?) "I don't serve the Starks," she replies. True, she just serves Cat. We also see Brienne fighting.
Theon's speech: "What is dead may never die!" Theon yells, banging his chest, looking rather crazed. What's up with that? Afterwards there's a brief clip of Osha. It's hard to tell if it's the same scene or not. Maybe she's watching?
Jaqen's offer: "You must come with me," Jaqen tells Arya. "I want to" she says, but something about her tone makes us think there's a "but" that follows that statement.
Jon in trouble: We see Jon get pushed down by Ygritte, and in another clip he draws his sword. It seems like there will be some action north of the Wall.
Dany's adventure: "Khaleesi!" Jorah yells near the end of the promo, sounding desperate. Then we see Dany entering a dark room with a torch. Finally, something happens in Qarth!
