Singer and actress Natina Reed was pronounced dead after being struck by a car while crossing the street on Friday night in Georgia. The details of the tragic accident are still under investigation, but the driver has not been charged. According to the Gwinett Police Department, the driver alerted the police of the accident via 911 at 10:30 PM on October 26, 2012. Natina died 29 minutes later at the Gwinnett Medical Center.
The multi-talented 32-year-old starred in the 2000 cult classic cheerleading film, Bring It On, alongside Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union, and she was a member of the '90s R&B group Blaque. Blaque members Brandi Williams and Shamari Fears-DeVoe mourned the loss of Natina in a statement released today, "We are devastated by the loss of our group member, sister and friend." They also revealed the group had just reunited and were working on a new album and a reality show.
Natina passed away days before she was to turn 33, on Sunday, October 28, 2012. She leaves behind 10-year-old son Tren Brown. Our thoughts go out to Natina's friends and family.
