It's kind of funny to go to People's website to read about Cougar Town star Busy Philipps dissing celebrity birth statements, since People is celeb baby statement HQ.

Busy didn't want to release the usual statement when she got pregnant with her second child, she told Anderson Cooper during her appearance on
Anderson Live (her interview airs today). So she tweeted about her pregnancy, sharing a photo of her Clearblue strip reading "Pregnant" and writing "So this happened..."

“I just wanted it to come directly from me in my voice," Busy told Anderson (via People). "I always hate those celebrity statements that are like, ‘We are so over the moon and overjoyed.' [...] All of that goes without saying. Of course it’s a blessing, of course I am overjoyed. It sounds so lame when I read it in print, so this happened — I am pregnant. Let’s move along.”

It’s always refreshing when someone bucks convention, even if sharing a pregnancy test on Twitter veers into TMI territory. Anyway, the new kid will be a younger sibling to Busy and husband Marc Silverstein's 4-year-old daughter, Birdie Leigh. Read the full story for more details on Birdie's latest antics. She sounds like a future comedic actress herself.
