There's nothing funny about comedian Katt Williams' latest brush with the law.
Katt was arrested in Oakland at around 3 a.m. on the morning of November 15 for battery, according to TMZ. The details are apparently unclear, although the alleged incident occured at a club called Kimball's Carnival in East Oakland.
Sources say that Katt was brought in for questioning following a fight in the club.
Katt Williams is a successful stand-up comedian who frequently tours the nation. He has also had numerous film roles, having appeared in such films as Friday After Next, Norbit, and the upcoming Scary Movie 5.
This isn't the first time Katt has had legal issues. He is currently being sued for allegedly punching his former assitant last month. In 2010, he was arrested for allegedly stealing jewelry and coins, and in 2006 he was arrested for carrying a stolen gun.
