The Season 1 finale of Once Upon a Time (Season 1, Episode 22: “A Land Without Magic”) is just a few days away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t obsess over all of the spoilers and sneak peeks in the meantime. Will a major character die? Will Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) escape from the Evil Queen in the fairy-tale world? What will happen to Henry?

Let’s start with the official episode synopsis from ABC:

“Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) team together in order to find a way to save Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) life. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Prince Charming attempts to escape from the Evil Queen’s clutches in order to reunite with Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) who, unbeknownst to him, has already taken a bite of the Queen’s poison apple.”

Also, Jamie Dornan will be back as The Huntsman, Kristin Bauer Van Straten will play Maleficent, and Emilie de Ravin will reprise her role as beautiful Belle.

As we know from the promo, Henry will be in a hospital bed after taking a bite of Regina’s poison apple turnover. He only did this to prove to Emma that all the magic and curses and fairy-tale mumbo jumbo he’s been spouting all season is, in fact, real.

TVLine has a prediction that we think is pretty smart: “Seeing as how true love’s kiss saved Snow from her own nasty bite of apple, the maternal peck on the noggin that Emma gives her offspring will spring the lad back to life.”

We’d take that speculation a step further and suggest that, in an attempt to save him, Regina will be the first to try and revive Henry with a kiss. But, since we don’t trust her love of him, it won’t work. Then, out of pure desperation and perhaps a little hope, Emma will kiss Henry and lift the curse because her kiss will be one of true love.

Perez Hilton teased the possibility that Henry may be “collateral damage” on the finale, and that “things are about to get dark.” It’s true that we would actually admire the show’s chutzpah in killing off the heart of the show (not to mention the only kid), but we think Henry’s survival is necessary in order to convince Emma that magic and the fairy-tale world really do exist.
