Courteney Cox's low-rated sitcom, Cougar Town, is rumored to be getting the boot from its current network, ABC, at the end of this season, but Deadline Hollywood is reporting that there’s still hope for viewers to keep up with the cul de sac crew next year.

Should the series get canned by ABC, TBS is apparently eyeing it for a two season pick-up, resulting in a total of 30 all-new episodes for Jules and the gang. If Cougar Town is picked up by TBS for two additional seasons, it would also be eligible to be sold in syndication.

A rep for TBS’s parent company, Turner Entertainment Networks, revealed, “Should the show become available, TEN looks at all opportunities presented to us that fit our brand.”

Although negotiations are still ongoing, if TBS opts to rescue the sitcom an announcement could be made as early as next week!
