Chely Wright is about to have two baby boys!
The country singer, who's 42, and her wife Lauren Blitzer-Wright, 31, have announced they are expecting twin boys in June, according to People.
The couple, who got married in August 2011, had revealed in January that Chely was expecting twins, and now they have revealed the gender.
“We’re having two little boys,” Chely says. “They’re healthy babies. They’re getting fat, thanks to my help. Everything looks good.”
Chely reveals she has gained 30 pounds so far since the start of the pregnancy.
“Most of it is French fries," Chely jokes about her extra weight. "It’s French fries and some Dunkin’ Donuts. But who’s keeping track?”
Chely says the pregnancy is going well, aside from some expected challenges.
“The first trimester was a typical first trimester — a little tired, a little sick to my stomach," she reveals.
Chely is known for her country hits like "Single White Female" and "Shut Up and Drive." She is the first country music performer to have publicly come out as gay.
Congrats to Chely, Lauren, and the bundles of joy-to-be!
