Just mere weeks since returning home after her 2009 conviction was overturned, Amanda Knox and her fellow accused, boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, are already making plans to reunite in the states.
"She asked me over and I accepted with pleasure,” he reportedly told Italian mag OGGI (via Us Weekly) in a new interview. “[T]here is no saying I will wait until Christmas. I could go earlier – I could go at any moment."
He cited their time in Italy after their 2007 arrest as a “circle of hell” and that only after speaking to each other can they begin to heal. He also said that they “look forward to a future that ...we can still build on."
If it’s up to Sollecito’s father, however, that future will be built separately, according to a National Enquirer report today. The source tells the rag that the wealthy Italian doc’s hope for his son now is that he “finds a good Italian girl from among his circle of friends.”
Only time will tell if their romance, much like those tumultuous four years, will one day just be a distant memory.
