Will Elliott Neese be the one who got away?

Deadliest Catch fans were in panic mode at the fact that Elliott does not appear in a promo for Season 9, but the captain will indeed appear this season, according to Us Weekly.

"Elliott Neese does return this season," says exec producer David Pritkin.

"This is redemption time, really," David explains. "People either love him or love to hate him. He comes back as the youngest boat owner or captain in the fleet."

David says viewers will be interested to learn that Elliott is now a changed man.

Elliott "had a really rough time last season," David admits, but he "will surprise some people this season."

In the promo, some of the other captains reflect on the fact that Elliott is nowhere to be seen when the season starts.

"In all honesty, I'm kinda not surprised Elliott isn't here this year," captain Sig Hansen says.

In fact, Elliott owns his own boat this season, which brings a new set of challenges.

"He starts the season with 10 dollars in his bank account," David reveals. Yikes.

The new season of the Discovery Channel reality series premieres on April 16. Make sure you catch it!
