James Franco and Anne Hathaway seemed to be "miserable" together as co-hosts of the 2011 Oscars  but how are they now?

James tells Howard Stern that the two aren't exactly besties, but they have patched things up since bombing as Oscar co-hosts.

"We haven't talked in a while," James admits about Les Miserables star Anne.

However, he goes on to say, "Anne and I made up, by the way. Let's just get that on the record." Phew! We're glad to hear it.

The 34-year-old Spring Breakers star says things were rough between them after they hosted.

"It was a really hard time after the Oscars," James says. "She wasn't mad at me, I don't think."

"She didn't say she was mad at me for what happened," he adds, sounding uncertain. He then acknowledges, "The critics were so nasty."

Howard suggests that people dislike Anne because she seems like a "goody two-shoes," which James seems to agree with.

"I'm not an expert on — I guess they're called 'Hatha-haters' — but I think that's what maybe triggers it," James says.

The Oz the Great and Powerful star also addressed rumors that he had turned down Lindsay Lohan when she wanted to sleep with him.

"She was having issues even then, so you feel weird," he says. "Honestly, she was a friend. I've met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don't want to do that."

Then again, can you really blame Linds for wanting to hook up with James Franco? We can't either.
