Channing Tatum loves to gab about how his new summer blockbuster, Magic Mike, was inspired by real life stripping experiences... but could those “real life experiences” actually have been someone else’s?
That’s what a few of Channing’s former co-workers back in Florida are claiming. While the Magic Mike star did indeed work as a stripper before making it big as an actor, two of his old dancer buddies are claiming that the upcoming movie is more based off their life than Channing’s.
According to TMZ, male dancers Thomas “Awesome” Austin and London Steele feel “betrayed” by the star for not involving them in the film since they insist he wouldn’t have had material without them. The two Floridians say they taught Channing, who they considered a total “amateur,” everything they know about the art of male stripping.
The guys even say they taught Channing some of the stripper moves that are featured in the movie like “The Hot Seat.”
Looks like Channing could have a serious case of stripper plagiarism on his hands!
