Lindsay Lohan's mom is finally realizing that a life in Hollywood might not have been the best choice for her daughter.
Dina Lohan, whose daughter stars in the upcoming Lifetime film Liz & Dick, tells the New York Daily News that Lindsay's slew of troubles would cause herself to perhaps do things differently as a parent. "I was born into the business,” Dina says. “My mother was an entertainer. It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it."
However, Dina stopped short of taking too much responsibility for Lindsay's poor decision-making. "I'm certainly not making excuses for Lindsay's behavior, but she's a 26-year-old woman," Dina continues.
Dina also defended her decision to drink alcohol with her daughter at her 50th birthday party last weekend. "My 80-year-old mother was there, and she’s Italian-American, and to be able to have a glass of red wine there for her is normal for our family,” according to Dina. “Some people who want to quit drinking do it cold turkey and some do it gradually — you want to keep a balance."
But if Lindsay had never gotten into showbiz, then the world would have been deprived of Herbie: Fully Loaded, and that just wouldn't have been right.
