We just got "You All Everybody" out of our heads, so it's time to fill that space with more from Dominic Monaghan.
He was Merry in Lord of the Rings and Charlie on Lost, but Dom has always been a wild thing (just check out his comments about fellow Lost co-star Matthew Fox), so he's perfect for BBC America's Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan.
“We would camp in the jungle at night in tents and we’d have to clear the forests,” Dom told Access Hollywood of making his new show, which follows some of the world's most dangerous animals. “You’re talking about a lot of uneven ground with obviously animals and rocks and things like that. We slept in a brothel for two nights. We actually slept on the second floor. I think the floor above us was a working establishment, with people coming and going throughout the night.”
There's definitely a dangerous side to the show, with Dom hanging out with venomous spiders and pythons. "It's scary, potentially, but it’s also beautiful, and I wanted to show that these animals can be extremely dangerous at times and beautiful in the same breaths," Dom said, adding, "My hope for the show is that it will make people think a little differently about the space that they share with these animals that they have fears of. My hope is that people will watch the show and realize these animals aren’t out to get us.”
Sounds like a great job to have! The show airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m., which is pretty late for a show about scary creatures. But what’s a few nightmares between friends?
