Michelle Dockery, who plays Mary, recently spoke to the Mirror about the big wedding — and yes, that means it happens!
"It’s a truly stunning dress," Michelle gushed. "I’m sure people will make some comparisons with the royal wedding."
Of course, Dan Stevens (Matthew) warns that while "we’d have been hard pushed to stretch out the will-they-won’t they storyline much longer," it won't be smooth sailing straight to the big day. "There’s still some thrills and spills," he dished.
But 'shippers will finally get a sexy little reward for their patience, with some actual bedroom scenes. "It doesn’t get pornographic but there’s a newlywed undercurrent," Dan told the Mirror.
The Mirror also served up some other spoilers, including:
- In the trailer, we see that the Crawleys are down on their luck, financially. Apparently, this is because of a failed railway investment
- The new kitchen maid will steal the hearts of most of the downstairs staff. Suprise, suprise, Daisy is not amused.
- Thomas will have a "forbidden" affair that actor Rob James-Collier hopes will help the audience "empathize" with the generally unlikable character.
- We'd already heard that there will be a "major" death, and the Mirror reconfirms that this spoiler is true.
