It was only a matter of time before someone had this idea.
While everyone is ramping up for the Olympic Summer Games, which start in T-minus one month in London town, BBC America is premiering its new mockumentary comedy Twenty Twelve tonight, which puts Hugh Bonneville (The Earl of Grantham on Downton Abbey) in an Office-like tizzy as he prepares for the Games and dodges every logistical disaster, miscommunication and awkward moment that could possibly come his way.
The show will demonstrate, to hilarious degree, just how insane preparing a big city like London for the Olympics can get, but all with the quaint "care-for-a-spot-of-tea?" trappings of Bonneville and his English cohorts on the program's fictional “Olympic Deliverance Committee.”
Twenty Twelve makes its U.S. television premiere tonight at 9 p.m. on BBC America. Carry on!
