Everyone has their own reasons for choosing a baby name, right?
Drew Barrymore's method for name selection proves to be quite unique, as she tells Ellen DeGeneres.
"I never would have guessed that would have been the name. But I was reading a book with my husband, and I was three months pregnant. They said your baby is the size of an olive, and that was it," Drew explains, according to Us Weekly. "We never looked back."
Weird, right? We'll never think of olives the same way again!
And Ellen made a good point after hearing that story, telling Drew that "it could have been the size of a peanut or a grapefruit" or even "a kidney bean."
"It could have been. It was a lot of fruits and vegetables," Drew admits with a laugh. "Kidney's not such a fun name."
But for some reason, this name just fit for Drew and hubby Will Kopelman's ten-week-old daughter. "We were workshopping a few [names], as all people do who are so blessed to get to do this do. And then once the light was shed, there was just no turning back."
Drew says she is relieved that Olive has so far been "a good baby. I count my lucky stars every day because she is... really interactive and happy and like nice to people. She's a nice person."
We're wishing the best to this happy family — as it really sounds like Drew and Will are "going the distance"!
