Elton John, who's known for such hit songs as "Candle in the Wind" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," plans to get married with not one but two weddings, according to Hollyscoop.
Sir Elton and partner David Furnish threw a big party in 2005 when they entered into a civil partnership, and now they want to tie the knot both in the UK and in Los Angeles.
“Los Angeles is like a second home to us,” David explains. “We have a civil partnership, but gay marriage has now been legalized in the UK."
"When we go back to Britain, we will definitely renew our vows under the gay marriage act but to do it here in Los Angeles, which is a second home to us, we’d love to do it here too,” he adds.
In fact, why stop at just two weddings?
“Let’s renew those vows everywhere they become legal!” David jokes.
David hopes that their weddings can help ensure that other gay couples might have the same opportunity in other parts of the world.
“If we can give it profile and support, we’ll continue to do that," he says.
David and Elton welcomed their second son, Elijah, last month, and now Elton is busy preparing for his annual Oscar party.
Long story short: Goodbye,
Norma Jean single life!
