After rapper French Montana’s performance Thursday night in Philadelphia, his tour bus pulled up to a Holiday Inn Express. Several fans were following closely behind.

According to NBC in Philadelphia, the rapper’s entourage was hanging out with fans outside the bus when someone drove by and opened fire, hitting two people. A 29-year-old was shot in the shoulder but is expected to be OK, and a 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach and pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Police told TMZ the rapper and his crew may not have been the targets; the shooting reportedly stemmed from a feud between warring fans.

According to NBC, 25 people — including French Montana, his entourage, and fans — were being questioned by police. Three people were taken into custody for carrying guns, they report, and investigators said someone inside the bus returned fire after the initial shots were fired.

Just last week, rapper Kenny Clutch, also 27, was also killed after a shooting and car crash in Las Vegas.
