Back in 1994, a young Indian girl named Aishwarya Rai won the title of Miss World — and her film career took off. She quickly became one of Bollywood’s most beloved and successful stars, and media outlets everywhere deemed her the “most beautiful woman in the world.”

Then she had a baby. And apparently Aishwarya isn’t losing that extra pregnancy weight quickly enough for fans in her native India.

Us Weekly reports that websites and entertainment columns in India are flooded with criticism of the 38-year-old actress, who gave birth to daughter Aaradhya in November 2011, simply because she hasn’t shed her post-baby weight just yet.

One site even posted a video with photos of post-baby Aishwarya with the sound of elephants playing in the background... and it’s gotten over 500,000 hits. One commenter asserted that “it is her duty” as a Bollywood actress to “look good and fit,” and another wondered why she isn’t “back to size zero” weeks after delivery like Victoria Beckham.

For the record, it’s only been about six months since Aishwarya gave birth. Do you agree with the commenters’ claims, or do you find them to be a bit ridiculous?
