E.L. James has openly admitted she used Twilight's Bella and Edward as inspiration for the main characters in her mega-hot erotic book series, Fifty Shades of Grey. So you'd think mega-hot Twilight film actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would be tops in the running to play Anastasia and Christian in the film adaptation Hollywood is already salivating about.
Nope! Not so far, anyway.
It's early yet, but a "source" told Hollywood Life, "They are going to reach out to Steven Spielberg, Bennett Miller and David Fincher among many other top directors for the coveted director’s chair. But there has been zero discussion on Rob or Kristen being a part of the film whatsoever at this time. But again that stressed that the film is at its infancy and many things can and will change."
Robsten aside for a second, Spielberg? For erotica? Hmm. Fincher is a better bet — and the Fight Club/Girl With the Dragon Tattoo director is already familiar with Kristen, having directed her in Panic Room.
What do you think? Should Rob and Kristen be the frontrunners for the Fifty Shades adaptation — or should Twilight stay out of this completely?
