Still wondering why Anne Hathaway cut her hair so short? The new trailer for Les Miserables will answer your question.
The big-screen adaptation of the Victor Hugo story, helmed by Academy Award-winning King's Speech director Tom Hooper, stars Anne as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, and Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean.
The trailer (below) features Anne singing the famous “I Dreamed a Dream,” as images from the film appear in a gloomy, gritty montage. We don’t doubt the potential for powerful emotional scenes and images, and there’s another bright spot: Anne may not have as polished a singing voice as the other stars reportedly up for the role (Lea Michele, Taylor Swift), but as CBS points out, it sounds raw and unedited. A lack of autotune puts a smile on our faces.
