From the outside, life may look like a bowl of organic cherries for Gwyneth Paltrow, but the Iron Man 3 star, and founder of the lifestyle site Goop, endured a major crisis in recent years. The actress, who has two young children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has opened up in an interview with The Mail's Sunday You magazine about a miscarriage that nearly killed her.
The Oscar-winning star didn’t specify when she had the miscarriage, but she does reveal that it was her “third” pregnancy.
“My children ask me to have a baby all the time,” she said. “And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it.” Gwyneth went on to explain that her third pregnancy “didn’t work out. I nearly died. So I am like, ‘Are we good here or should we go back and try again?’”
While the actress may not be resolved on the issue of future children right now, it’s clear that she is happy with where she is, and incredibly appreciative of hubby Chris, 36.
“We are committed co-parents, we make all the decisions together and lean on each other for support,” she said. “[Chris] is so good to the children and to know that you had kids with such a good man is a real weight off you.”
She insists that no matter what happens in her marriage to Chris, she knows she picked the right dad to raise a family with, and that is a wonderful, and in our opinion, realistic attitude! We wish the two luck in whatever they decide for their family.
