Looks like those of us who have been eagerly awaiting Hilary Duff’s return to music will have to wait a little bit longer!
The starlet, known for playing the title role in the tween series Lizzie McGuire as well as a string of successful pop albums, has just announced that she and her hockey player husband Mike Comrie are expecting their first child together.
The couple released a statement via Hilary’s official website over the weekend, which also marked the one-year anniversary of Hilary’s marriage to Mike: “I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun!...We also want to share the exciting news that BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to strt [sic] this new chapter of our lives.”
In recent interviews, Hilary stated she was ready to return to the recording studio following a long hiatus from music since her 2007 LP Dignity, and that she had begun assembling a new team to help her put together a new album. But with motherhood calling, Hilary is sure to have her hands full during the next year.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
