Great news! Dana may actually find a way to get more annoying on Homeland Season 3.

Yesterday, Showtime released details on the new season, which premieres September 29 at 9 p.m.

Here’s the new synopsis (via Zap2it): "Homeland Season 3 opens during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world's most wanted terrorist — Nick Brody (Damian Lewis). As Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody's whereabouts."

Executive producer Howard Gordon previously said Season 3 will be "a little bit of a reset.” E! News shared details on Dana’s role, courtesy of actress Morena Baccarin, who plays the teen's mother. To quote E!, “Brody's (former) wife tells us to expect some exciting stories with her daughter, Dana, ones that include some ‘crying.’ Hopefully no more hit and run plots. When we begged for more dish, she just told us: ‘That's all I know!’ Who knew a show about the CIA would be so secretive?"

So, yeah, Dana crying. Probably over her dad, among other things. Hopefully they’ll really focus on the manhunt for Brody, and how Carrie handles that.
