Seven-year-old pageant queen Alana Thompson was featured alongside Prince Harry, former CIA director General David Petraeus, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for Barbara Walters’s annual special on the “10 most fascinating people” of the year.
The show, which aired on Wednesday night, highlighted the antics of the entire Thompson family and their rise to reality TV fame thanks to their TLC series, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
“For the past few years we have featured the biggest names in reality TV,” Barbara said during the special. “Two years we got down with Jersey Shore, last year we kept up with the Kardashians, and this year, heaven help us, here comes Honey Boo Boo.”
Other notable names making the list include Ben Affleck, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James, and the boys of One Direction.
So what led to Honey Boo Boo’s inclusion on the list of the world’s most accomplished?
“Honey Boo Boo is precocious, energetic, and above all, uninhibited,” Barbara said of the ever-entertaining Alana.
Energetic and uninhibited? Well, Babs certainly got that right!
