We didn't want Ted and Robin to get back together on How I Met Your Mother, and we're glad they didn't. On the other hand, we don't like having them totally estranged, either. Their relationship has, in our opinion, run its course, but their friendship is fodder for some of the funniest moments on the show — the pair does have chemistry, after all.
Future Ted said he and Robin didn't talk again for a long time in their universe, but how long will that be on the show?

“We will stay friends,” Cobie Smulders (Robin) assured Entertainment Weekly. Well, duh, that much is clear. Here's some more specific news: “I think we will work things out by the finale. At least most of the weirdness and not talking will fix itself.”
Hallelujah! We've appreciated the change of pace, but we don't think we could deal if Ted and Robin still weren't talking come Season 8.
As for the finale, Cobie promises "all your questions will be answered," calling the episode "a very perfect way to end it."
Whatever their flaws, the HIMYM writers normally pull off nice season finales, and we're definitely looking forward to finding out the identity of Barney's bride. Is it May 14 yet?
