Jessica Simpson has 70 reasons to celebrate these days, having lost at least that number of pounds in the six months since she gave birth to baby Maxwell.

Life & Style reports that the singer and TV star has lost over 70 pounds, meaning she exceeded her goal.

“She’s eating well and exercising and feels healthy,” a friend of Jess spills.

Jessica’s secret? Her endorsement deal with Weight Watchers and regular workouts with trainer Harley Pasternak.

“She’s doing amazing,” Harley tells the magazine. “She comes to my studio four days a week and is ahead of schedule!”

Jessica recently unveiled her newly svelte body at a Macy’s promotion on November 10, even daring to pose next to her rail-thin sister, Ashlee.

Color us impressed. Jess, nice work regaining that Irresistible body!
