You don’t hire a shock jock and then expect him to be warm and fuzzy. And in new judge Howard Stern, America’s Got Talent certainly got what it says on the box: Last night he made a 7-year-old boy cry.

Howard hit the buzzer on pint-sized rapper Mir Money, and then, over the boos of the audience, he tried to explain his decision to the little guy but the poor kid was so rattled he burst into tears, according to E! Online.

Howard rushed onstage to comfort little Money, who was able to calm down but it seemed that Howard was the one more upset by the incident. So much so, in fact, that he threatened to quit.

"This job is too rough for me, I don't really wanna do it anymore,” he said. “I'm not cut out for this, man. I'm not cut out for it. I'm shaking, man, I'm shaking. I can't do it, man. I can't do it."

You have a contract, man, you have a contract. We’re pretty sure you’ll find a way. And don’t worry if you’re so worried about upsetting kids that America’s Got Talent ends up a 58-way tie between every seven-year-old who enters, we’d probably be OK with that.
