An account called "mileyxxcyrus" posted this black-and-white photo, writing, "High as fvck #"
Was that Miley Cyrus? Some fans noticed, on the person's right ring finger, there's a tattoo that looks like Miley's equals-sign tattoo. Apparently fans tweeted to Miley about it and she responded by writing:
• "Why is everybody trippin. My timeline is blowing up. Everything's all good in my life just in a creative space right now."
• "#nodistractions. That means you twitter!"
• "I don't have an Instagram."
But even if Miley didn't post that photo herself, it doesn't mean it isn't her in the photo. Fans seem to be mixed on the idea, with some crying fake and others saying it's her — even if she didn't post it or even if the photo isn't "new."
The bigger question may be "Does it matter?" Miley has joked about smoking weed in the past, and she recently posed with Wiz Khalifa who is known for being a big pot fan. Miley is a former Disney princess, but now her image is definitely more edgy. So would it really change anything if it turned out this was Miley smoking? All the attention on Justin Bieber smoking, and Rihanna sharing marijuana photos, has shown that it is still a big deal to some people, but also becoming "normalized."
There still seems to be a divide out there — do you care, one way or the other, or is it much ado about nothing?
