Don't worry, Hunger Games fans, Jennifer Lawrence says we're in good hands with new director Francis Lawrence, who has the reins for Catching Fire.
“The new movie will be very real, which is what I’m excited about,” Jennifer told the L.A. Times's 24 Frames. “I really like his take, which is a lot of what I liked in [Hunger Games director] Gary Ross. It’s the realistic grasp of the story instead of all the details of the imaginary things.”
Jennifer won't start shooting the second film until this fall, but she's talked to the new director and says "He’s not trying to reinvent anything." So don't expect an extreme style change like Harry Potter fans saw with Prisoner of Azkaban when Alfonso Cuaron took over from Chris Columbus. (Although, maybe sometimes a style change is good?)
JLaw also talked to the L.A. Times about the film she just wrapped, Serena, which is her second new film opposite Bradley Cooper — after Silver Linings Playbook. New dream team? Jennifer called Serena's plot "kind of a messed-up love story" and you can read more about it here.
