If you ask us, there's a much greater than 50/50 chance that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be an awesome awards show host. Later this month, he'll get to prove it.

The film star will host the 2013 Sundance Film Festival Awards ceremony on January 26 from Park City, Utah.

Don't feel like buying a plane ticket to Utah just to see him? Fear not! The full ceremony will be streaming live on the Sundance website.

“Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s accomplished and original artistic perspectives have contributed greatly to Sundance Institute and the independent film community,” says the director of the Sundance festival.

It's fitting that Joe should host a film awards show now, as he's had a massive 2012. In the past year alone, he starred in Premium Rush and Looper, and he had major roles in The Dark Knight Rises and Lincoln. Dayum, dude!

This hosting gig is also fitting, seeing as his breakout film role came when (500) Days of Summer was a huge hit at Sundance in 2009.

Granted, we're still bitter that Joseph wasn't nominated for an Oscar for (500) Days or 50/50. But we suppose we can try to let that go.
