It's not just London that's burning in the wake of Justin Bieber's flameout this week. He's also cancelled one of two scheduled appearances for this week, this one in Portugal. The singer's website cites "unforseen circumstances" as the cause for the missed engagement.
As reported by TMZ, the statement goes on to say, "The Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on March 11. Holders of tickets valid for March 12 should contact the respective place of purchase to receive a refund within 30 days of the date of the scheduled concert, which ends April 11."
What's weird about all this is that Bieber was set to play in Lisbon on March 11 and 12, but only the second show has been cancelled. We assume if Bieber's health were involved, he wouldn't be well enough to play the first concert either, right?
While Rihanna couldn't have been more open (or more contrite) about having to cancel a show in Boston today due to laryngitis, Bieber himself has yet to make any comment on what exactly those "unforseen circumstances" are that caused the show to be cancelled. His lone tweet, "#sundayfunday," could, we suppose, be interupreted sarcastically, but the mystery remains.
What do you think is going on with the Biebs? Let us know in the comments!
