Justin Bieber, who is currently on tour in Europe, took time out of his busy schedule yesterday to visit the Anne Frank House.
The teenage heartthrob paid tribute to a teenager arguably more tormented than the the pop star himself.
Justin and his friends and body guards reportedly spent over an hour in the museum, where the 15-year-old diarist hid from Nazis with her family for two years.
The "Boyfriend" singer even left an adorable message in the guestbook: "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber." While the message was most likely full of good intentions, haters are taking to Twitter and even started a new hashtag: #wouldhavebeenbeliebers.
Either way, the Anne Frank House is speaking out in his defense, with the press office releasing a Tweet about his visit:
Considering the fact that Justin took the time to visit the museum, fans can hopefully take comfort knowing that he meant well with the comment.
What do you think? Did J-Biebs mean well or should he have known better?
