Never one to mince words, Kathy Griffin downright spilled the beans during a stand up show on Friday night in Cincinnati. The fiery comedian shared that her Bravo talk show Kathy has been canceled.
The disappointing news must have still been ringing in Kathy’s ears. She told the audience she’d only been informed by Bravo of its decision the day before.
Exactly why Bravo has discontinued Kathy after only its second season has yet to be detailed. Reps for Griffin and Bravo have not spoken directly on the matter. It sounds like the show was doing okay, viewers-wise, and we imagine Kathy’s catty commentary was right at home in the network that produces Real Housewives...
The show must have suffered though when last February, it was moved out of its primetime slot at 10 p.m. on Thursdays to 11:30 p.m.
Kathy has been a Bravo regular since 2005, when her breakthrough reality series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List debuted.
What could be next for Kathy? Last month it was reported that she and Anderson Cooper shot an hour-long test pilot for CNN. Is Kathy taking her tempestuous personality to a more serious platform of news? We’re sure no matter what she does it will be hilarious and possibly cringeworthy!
