What’s with the false engagement rumors lately? Marisa Tomei had one, and now this. Are these “sources” just getting bad intel or are the stars trying to hide their true plans?
Not too long ago, there was a rumor that Kelly Osbourne got engaged to her boyfriend, Matthew Mosshart, just before Christmas. But Kelly recently had this conversation with Yahoo! Movies:
Yahoo: "We are very curious if you are going to debut your engagement ring at the Oscars..."
Kelly: "I'm not engaged."
Kelly: "I'm not!"
Yahoo: "It's a totally false story?"
Kelly: "Yeah! The thing is, if I was engaged, I'd f---ing tell the entire go-da-- world! I wouldn't wait. It wouldn't be two weeks before Christmas and then wait until the end of January before people find out. I have a big mouth! And when it's about me, I can't keep anything about myself secretive because I know that... it doesn't work out in my favor."
That was at the very start of February. The Fashion Police star and Dancing With the Stars alum just talked to OK! Magazine Wednesday (February 6) during the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show in NYC, and they asked if wedding plans were on her radar.
“Yeah!” Kelly answered. “Isn’t that on every girl’s radar? You’re born, and you’re like ‘I want to get married.’ Honestly, when it happens, it happens, and if I’m lucky enough, maybe you actually won’t see me single.” She was also asked if she had Valentine’s Day plans. “Not yet!”
Hmm. Do you think she and Matthew are still together, as a normal dating couple? Did they get engaged and something happened? Were they never engaged but maybe now Matthew will feel pressure to put a ring on it? She did say she’d tell everyone if it happened, so where did that engagement rumor come from? Did someone just misunderstand? It’s not like it’s vital information for national security, but we’re just curious about where these rumors come from and where they go wrong.
