YouTube is flooded with fans (literally) singing Lady Gaga’s praises for her inspirational songs, but Thierry Mugler’s creative director, Nichola Formichetti, paid homage to the pop star in a unique way: Designing a handbag shaped liker her butt.
Nichola found inspiration behind the music, using Gaga’s assets as the framework for the new Mugler line of leather bags, clutches and sportswear, according to WWD.
Given that production takes time — and the fact that she gained weight recently, but is currently dieting — we’re guessing the gold and black clutch (pictured left) isn’t based upon her current figure, but either way, she doesn’t even know it exists yet!
“She doesn’t know yet,” Nichola admitted. “It has a little bit of punk rock feeling but it’s still quite chic.”
It isn’t all that surprising that the bag has been created considering that Nichola has been Gaga’s personal stylist since 2009, helping to select some of the outrageous outfits she wears in music videos and on magazine covers, but it’s still very strange.
And at an estimated $900, it’s going to take a lot of money, honey to get your own Gaga-shaped bag.
