You win some, you lose some.

Actress Alana De La Garza and her husband, writer Michael Roberts, are expecting their second child, according to Us Weekly.

However, they announced the pregnancy during the same week that Alana's new medical drama, Do No Harm, was canceled by NBC after only its second episode. Sigh.

But Alana isn't letting the disappointing professional news distract her from the thrilling personal news.

"We are beyond excited to meet our baby girl!" she and Michael said in a statement.

The couple already have a 2-year-old son, Kieran.

On February 9, Alana took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support following Do No Harm's demise.

"To all my peeps... Thank you for your warm wishes about #DoNoHarm," she tweeted. "Such a bummer. I will miss getting to hang with that gang! It was so fun."

"Alas, this is the way things go sometimes," she continues. "Onward to our new adventures!"

The 36-year-old Alana is best known for her role as Connie on Law & Order and the short-lived Law & Order: LA. She's also had a recurring role on CSI: Miami.

Congrats to the happy family!
