Lee Dorman, member of the well-known rock band Iron Butterfly, was found dead in his car at 9 a.m. at his home in Orange County, Calif. on Dec. 21.
E! Online reports that the bassist appears to have died of natural causes, according to the county coroner’s office. He was 70 and had a history of heart trouble.
The band’s biggest hit was its song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," which was released in 1968, and in 1993, Light and Heavy: The Best of Iron Butterfly was released.
Rest in peace, Lee! The rock world will miss you!
