Ah, hindsight. When YOU magazine (via Daily Mail) interviewed model-turned-actress Liberty Ross and talk turned to her marriage with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, who could have known that every word would hold new meaning just two weeks later?
Now that both Kristen Stewart and Rupert have admitted to and apologized for their adulterous fling, it appears his wife Liberty had been struggling in her own right, though she was hopeful for the future of her marriage.
“[S]tarting a life all over again was a lot harder than I had anticipated,” Liberty said of her move from London to L.A. for her husband’s career. “I just didn’t think it would be as isolating and daunting as it turned out to be.”
She added, “I can honestly say that it took me five years to feel happy here.”
Though she didn’t disparage her husband openly in the interview, she seemed despondent about his absence. “I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that,” the former Vogue model continued. “I went from the glamour of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time.”
However, she remained positive for the outlook of her relationship. “But that’s why everything feels so amazing now. We rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out,” she said.
Neither Liberty nor Kristen’s boyfriend Robert Pattinson have commented publicly on the scandal.
