We have a very simple love-hate relationship with Saturday Night Live: We love it when it's funny, we hate it when it's not. Well, this past weekend, our relationship turned to love, kittens, and rainbows thanks to host Zooey Deschanel and a little skit called "Bein' Quirky With Zooey Deschanel." It's the first segment to make us laugh out loud in years. Years, people.

Sure, the occasional pre-recorded segment has made us giggle uncontrollably, mostly original music videos featuring Lonely Island and Justin Timberlake ("D*ck in a Box," anyone?), but nothing prepared us for the live, in-studio magic of "Bein' Quirky," featuring Zooey Deschanel (played by Abby Elliot), Michael Cera (played by Taran Killem), Mary Kate Olsen (played by Zooey Deschanel), and Bjork (played to perfection by Kristen Wiig) in a talk show that truly lived up to its name. There's still comedy magic in those three little letters: SNL.

Thank you, Zooey Deschanel, for being so adorably twee and willing to make fun of yourself. Check out the video below, or click here to watch.
