Matthew McConaughey has discovered how to lose a ton of weight in ten days a short period of time.

The star has now lost nearly 40 pounds for his role in his new film, The Dallas Buyers' Club, and the weight loss has taken its toll.

"I don’t have the leverage I used to," Matthew tells Daily Beast. "I have body soreness."

However, he's trying to the lose weight without causing too much harm. "I got the means to lose the weight in a really healthy way," he says. "I’m eating fresh fish. I’m just eating small amounts. I’m not being starved. I’m sleeping well. I’ve got clean meals that I’m cooking for myself. It’s just really an exercise in discipline." Still sounds terrible, if you ask us.

He says he can't wait to start eating regularly again, but he doesn't plan to go hog wild. "The real health challenge is when you put it back on. It’s very easy to create a form of diabetes if you don’t do it right. You can’t just start eating cheeseburgers and ice cream. Your body will go into shock and it just won’t work," he explains.

He is even asked is he can have a little ice cream now, but says, "No. I would love to."

It sounds like there's nothing "magic" about losing weight. Still, we want the old, beefy Matthew back already!
