We're always seeing photos of Miley Cyrus out jogging and doing Pilates, and she recently started a gluten-free diet, so we're not surprised her body has changed in the past few months. Since she's not stick-thin and pale like Ali Lohan, we haven't been too worried.
But Alicia Hunter, weight expert and author of The Accidental Diet: From Fugly to Fox, told HollywoodLife.com, "I think Miley is taking her extreme weight loss to a new low. Her collarbone area is extremely bony and in the most recent pictures, her hip bones are protruding."
A recent photo of 19-year-old Miley in Miami shows her looking skinny — but not scary skinny — in a form-fitting grey dress. Hollywood Life claims Miley lost about 25 pounds in two months: from 135 pounds in February to 110 pounds in April. Now author Alicia thinks Miley looks around 108 pounds.
“To appear this undernourished this rapidly is not a good sign!" the author continued. "For her to continue to drop weight would be inadvisable. She’s probably consuming less than 1000 calories per day."
Too big. Too small. Too heavy. Too skinny. There are a lot of pressures in Hollywood, and someone's always saying you're too something.
Back in April, Miley tweeted, "For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight — it's about health. Gluten is crap anyway!"
Miley is said to be about 5'5", and if she really is under 110 lbs. — which may not be true, since it sounds like they’re estimating — she should probably work to maintain this weight and not let herself get any smaller.
