A star of The Mindy Project has a pretty important new project of his own!
The show's Ike Barinholtz and his wife are expecting their first child this summer, according to Us Weekly.
The 36-year-old comedic actor and wife Erica Hanson will be having a baby girl.
"I am reading a couple of books," Ike says of preparing for fatherhood. "I need like, a baby comic book. A great graphic novel would be so much more fun. But other than that I think I got it."
"I got a couple kids running around somewhere — no, I'm kidding!" he quipped. "That's a joke! I don't have any kids. This is my first one."
Ike, who plays a nurse on the show, says they've started getting their own nursery ready.
"We're looking at a little bit of blue. We don't want to go pink," Ike says. "Blue, I think. It's kind of cool."
And the couple has started thinking about baby names, but they may have some trouble coming to a consensus.
"My wife and I just started arguing about [baby names] recently, so we haven't even had a top three," he explains. "We do have name books, but they're boring. Just literally a list of names."
Also, don't expect Ike to encourage his daughter to pursue the entertainment field.
"I want her to be put away from all of this!" he says. Probably a good idea.
Congrats to the happy family!
