Big congratulations are in order to Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman and her longtime beau, Black Swan choreographer and ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied, who enjoyed a wedding ceremony on Saturday in Big Sur, California.
The two met while Natalie was working on Black Swan, and Natalie was sure to credit her fiance when she accepted her Oscar for the film in February 2011, explaining that Benjamin gave her "the most important role of my life" — motherhood, that is. She memorably revealed in a 2010 interview that she was engaged to her Black Swan choreographer and also, that they were expecting their first child together; their first son, Aleph, is now 1 years old.
Few details were immediately available about the wedding, but sources tell Us Weekly that the wedding took place beneath a chuppah, in the dark. Sounds romantic!
The couple's rings have been the subject of much speculation, leading to reports that the notoriously private pair had already married in secret back in February; the jeweler Jamie Wolf explained that he designed their rings out of recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds. Now, six months later, they finally celebrated surrounded by their friends and family.
Congrats to the happy couple!
