We cannot tell a lie: One more drama series just bit the dust.

NBC has canceled its hour-long drama Deception, according to Entertainment Weekly

The show premiered in January and had aired 11 episodes.

Deception was about a female detective who goes undercover to investigate a wealthy family's role in her best friend's murder.

And if you're thinking to yourself, "Wait, isn't that basically the same thing as Revenge?"  well, you're not the only one.

The series starred Meagan Good and Victor Garber and had been averaging only 4.93 million viewers.

The network will announce its complete schedule for the fall season on Sunday, and so even more cancellations are expected.

NB has also announced that it is passing on several of its pilots, including one that would have been an updated take on the Hatfields and McCoys rivalry.

Deception, we hardly knew ye.
